Detectives with the Specialized Sean Herman Video Investigations Division today arrested former Nashville Police Officer Sean Herman at his Sumner County home on two counts of felony criminal conduct. Herman is accused of participating in the production of an video while on duty.
Chief John Drake dismissed Herman, 33, on May 9, a day after detectives discovered the video and identified him as the person in an MNPD uniform seen in the video from the chest down. . In the video, Herman participated in a simulated Fans traffic stop during which he touched the exposed breast of the driver of the vehicle featured in the adult video.
The investigation revealed that the video was recorded the night of April 26 in a Madison area warehouse parking lot while Herman was on duty as a patrol officer at the Madison police station.
Chief Drake ordered the investigation to continue after Herman was fired, resulting in his indictment. A Criminal Court judge set Herman’s bail at $3,000.
Herman was with the police department for three years.

The video — titled “Can’t believe he didn’t arrest me” — was originally posted by a woman named Jordin who was sitting in the driver’s seat. A man in the passenger seat is heard telling Jordin that he knew she would be pulled over for how fast she was driving.
The man pans the camera from the back windshield where a white squad car is seen. Jordin is then heard saying, “I’m not going to get a ticket … I’m going to show him my (breasts).
Moments later, an officer approaches the driver’s side door and identifies himself as “Officer Johnson of PD.”
He is then seen reaching into the car and groping Jordin’s breast before grabbing his genitals through his pants.
Metro Nashville police told Scripps News Nashville that they were made aware of the video Wednesday and immediately launched an investigation.
